Journey to Jameson

About Us

We are the Hayes family-- Brian, Gina, Owen and Jameson. Our son, Owen, is twelve years old and loves hunting and fishing with his dad and drumming in his two bands. We are so very proud of our new addition, Jameson Harper Hayes, the daughter and sister that completes our family.

3rd and FINAL casting!!!

Jameson had a 5-10 minute window of leg worship between casts today. As you can tell from the photos, she was just generally mesmerized by the sight of her own legs. She rubbed, pinched, and licked them. We are wrapping things up with boring ol' white casts that got put on in the doctor's office instead of in surgery. There was a lot of crying and thrashing about, but the ortho tech was thankfully very fast!

The week after Christmas, she will get these casts off and go into a brace. It's actually shoes (they look like little baby Berkinstocks) with a bar in between to keep them in the perfect position. She'll wear this all the time for at least 3 months, maybe more, depending on how well her feet respond. Except for bathtime...can't wait to let her get in the tub again!! After this period, she'll wear them only at bedtime.
