Journey to Jameson

About Us

We are the Hayes family-- Brian, Gina, Owen and Jameson. Our son, Owen, is twelve years old and loves hunting and fishing with his dad and drumming in his two bands. We are so very proud of our new addition, Jameson Harper Hayes, the daughter and sister that completes our family.

I prayed for this child,
and the Lord has granted
me what I asked of him.
1 Samuel 1:27
We witness a miracle every time a child enters
into life. But those who make their journey
home across time and miles, growing within
the hearts of those who wait to love them,
are carried on the wings of destiny and placed
among us by God's very own hands.

On the way to see orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Doyle, at Children's South yesterday- Tuesday, November 9. He gave us the news that BG (Brian calls her Baby Girl most of the time) will have to go through the whole process again to fix her little feet. We were really hoping that she could just get into a better brace and that would fix her up, but that was just not in the plan. Since she didn't have a good brace in China, her feet have started to turn back in, SSSSOOOOOO my little mover and shaker will be getting casts up to her thighs AGAIN!! Dr. Doyle will be clipping her tendons (thus lengthening them) and casting her in surgery at Children's next Wednesday, November 17. She will stay in this cast for two weeks, then he'll repeat the process in surgery once again. The surgeries are supposed to be very quick. I guess the only consolation in that is that my heart will only be stopped for mere minutes instead of hours. =-(
Her last casting will be done in his office. We hate that she'll have to go through the casts now that she's pulling up to stand all the time, but I know she'll find a way around and to get into everything! And I bet she'll still have that pretty smile on her face.

Playing in the bathroom while Mom is getting ready to go to Walmart--for the fourth time in a week.

Yes, the bow is as big as her head.

Daddy and Baby Girl mesmerized by SpongeBob.
She loves to hear herself on the microphone.

Already very interested in books.

Jameson's not quite sure about Owen's Bouncing Tigger, whose batteries still work after 11 years.

She LOVES her brother!!

  2. The picture of J and O is just about the sweetest thing I have ever seen. I am so sorry that she is "starting over" with her surgery. But we know that she is in the care of the best doctors and her loving family.
